“She’s a breath of fresh air,” says Mary-Lee Halverson, a long-time parent activist who has been corresponding with Pushor for several years and attended last weekend’s parent conference. “She ‘gets it’ because she sees a role for parents that goes way beyond where it is right now.” But it’s up to Ontario’s school system to decide if it’s ready to breathe in something new.
